Keep Durham Beautiful Teacher Grants
KDB's Teacher Grants program is specifically for teachers in Durham with projects that relate to Keep Durham Beautiful's key issues of litter prevention, recycling & waste reduction and beautification. Teacher grants are for up to $250 per teacher per school year. Applying for a grant is easy, you do it on-line! You might want to read the fine print at the bottom of this page, and review the guidelines provided below. Then click on the Apply button and fill out the application. After you finish filling it out, click on the submit button. You will then have a chance to confirm all your answers are correct. When you are done reviewing the grant click on the confirm button and you will get a confirmation page that your grant has been submitted.
Deadlines
We review grants every quarter: in January, April, July, and October. Get your application in by the deadline and it will be reviewed within 30 days.
- December 20 for January review and award
- March 20 for April review and award
- June 20 for July review and award
- September 20 for October review and award
If the deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday, grants are due by 8:00am on the first working day after the 20th. If you do not have access to a computer email us and we will send you a paper copy of the grant to fill out and mail to us. Don't be late! Late applications will have to wait until the next deadline to be considered.
Funding
