Rewild Earth and the NC Invasive Plant Council are teaming up to launch the “Save All We Can” initiative this Fall: hands-on trainings designed specifically to develop the next generation of volunteer leaders in Invasive Plant Removal. One of the biggest obstacles to increased volunteer activity around removing invasive plants is not having enough people who are trained in and confident about leading events.
Two training sessions will be held in Durham, on Friday November 7th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Saturday November 8th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Two other trainings will be held in Chapel Hill: on Friday November 21st from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Saturday November 22 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
For a fee of $25, you will be trained on tool use, herbicides, and how to hold a successful event, both large and small. You will also receive your very own herbicide dauber from Rewild Earth's Dauber Exchange!
