Join the Tree Keepers for a walk around one of Durham’s neighborhoods to inspect and care for the street trees! This will involve guided pruning, staking, and mulching with the Tree Keepers as well as Keep Durham Beautiful and City’s Urban Forestry staff.

Tree Keepers are volunteers who have accumulated the knowledge and skills to assist and serve a leadership role in volunteer tree planting events. Tree Keepers oversee small groups of volunteers, provide quality control, and teach others how to plant trees. Staff will identify an area with trees that could use some TLC and send out a meeting point before the event. Tools will be provided.
