On June 23 and 25 from 5:30-7:30PM, join community members and the Love Your Block team with City of Durham for a volunteer workday on Jersey Ave behind the Lakewood Shopping Center.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up litter, remove invasive plants, and install a pollinator garden in what has been a site of illegal dumping of litter and general neglect for years. This is part of a project that received funding through the Love Your Block initiative.

On both days volunteers will meet at the El Futuro greenspace at 2020 Chapel Hill Rd #23 and climb the stairs behind El Futuro to the project site.

There will be swag (t-shirts, hats, stickers) and snacks for volunteers and your participation gets you an invite into the exclusive Love Your Block Big Summer Blowout Cookout at the end of the season.
