Join the Durham County Sustainability team and Trees for the Triangle for a hands-on day of caring for our local ecosystem and discussing climate action with high school students! It's an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage.
We've got 36 trees to plant in a day so the more the merrier! Students will be joining in waves throughout the day and volunteers are welcome to come for any amount of time.
Activities can and will include digging holes, planting trees, and spreading soil and mulch. There will also be an informal education component as we go. Gloves and tools will be provided, as well as water, but please bring a refillable container to keep this event low waste!
